7th-Day Advent Bible Ministry Church - Jesus Christ Is Coming Back Soon
WHY DID WE LEAVE THE SDA CHURCH?

HISTORY OF OUR PAST CHURCH AFFILIATION

We were former members of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Chuch. In November 2006, we completely separated ourselves from the SDA Church, not because of sin in the church. Sin is found in every Church. It can be found in the church where we are if anyone of us lived in sin without Christ. Some joined us later.

The sole purpose of our leaving the SDA Church was purely because of false teachings advocated by the Church. These false teachings were not taught by Ellen G. White. Since these false teachings are deterimental to one's salvation, we had no other option but to leave after numerous discussions with the leaders of the SDA Church. WE took our stand to be faithful to God, not to a Church - [Acts :29]. Though we had friends and relatives still within the SDA Church, nevertheless, our stand with God had to come first.

The more we discussed with the SDA Church leadership of the doctrines in question below, the more it revealed to us of the SDA Church's current beliefs. The doctrines that we found disturbing before we left the SDA Church are as follows:

1. Whereas the SDA Church believes that one is saved by faith alone.

WE believe that one is saved by faith that obeys.

2. Whereas the SDA Church believes that "Obedience is the fruit of salvation."

WE believe that "Obedience is the fruit of faith."

3. Whereas the SDA Church believes that faith is a condition to eternal life, but not "Obedience."

WE believe that "faith and obedience" are conditions to eternal life. Without obedience, faith is not faith. (Faith without works is dead).

4. Whereas the SDA Church believes that Obedience is a response to one's salvation.

WE believe that if one is saved by faith alone without the obedience: then, WHY should one need to obey later AFTER ONE IS BEING SAVED ALREADY?? ... And why should one be lost if one does not obey as a response?

WE believe that if one is saved by faith alone without obedience, the evil results are:-
(i) one is saved in sin.
(ii) sin is immortalized.
(iii) one has a license to sin.
(iv) the unrepentant sinner can go to heaven.
(v) it contradicts the other teachings of the Scriptures.
(vi) one is saved without true repentance because repentance is turning away from disobedience to obedience to God.

B.THE SDA TEACHING ON "SIN"

1. Whereas the SDA Church believes that since we inherited a fallen sinful nature from Adam and Eve, therefore, anyone that is born with a fallen sinful nature is born a sinner.

WE believe that we inherited a fallen sinful nature from Adam and Eve, and no one who is born with a fallen sinful nature is born a sinner. The fallen sinful nature in iteself is NOT sin.

2. Whereas the SDA Church believes that because we are born with a fallen sinful nature, hence, we are conditioned to sin.

Statement # 1
One does not have to do bad things to be a sinner, and not doing bad things does not make one sinless. In order to be a sinner, all one has to do is to be born.  All of us are born with inherent sinful natures. Mankind is not only born in sin but continues in sin.”

Statement # 2
“Humans are not sinners because they commit sin, but they sin because they are sinners.”
Source Reference, “Handbook of Seventh-Day  Adventist Theology” Commentary Reference Series, Vol. 12, p.164 – Review & Herald Publishing Association, Hagerstown, MD 21740, 2000.

Statement # 3
"Is Sinfulness inherited or acquired?  …… Although as children we acquire sinful behavior through imitation, the above texts affirm that we inherit our basic sinfulness.”
Source Reference: Seventh Day Adventists Believe, … 27  Fundamental Beliefs, 1988 edition, p.90-91

WE believe that though we are born with a fallen sinful nature, and we are NOT conditioned to sin. We have the power of choice to choose God's power to help us overcome all heretidary tendency inclinations of the fallen sinful nature to sin.

3. Whereas the SDA Church believes that our fallen sinful nature is the real cause for us to continue sinning.

WE believe that because we have the power of choice to choose Christ and overcome all temptations; hence, there is no reason for the SDA Church to keep believing in the fallen sinful nature to be the cause of sin.

For one to keep saying that we will sin because of our fallen sinful nature inherited - is to keep excusing sin as if Christ never made any provisions for us to overcome ALL TEMPTATIONS.

4. Whereas the SDA Church believes that our fallen sinful nature in itself is sin.

WE believe that the fallen sinful nature in itself.is NOT sin. Sin is the transgression of the law - [1 John 3:4]. No one is automatically a sinner by inheriting the fallen sinful nature from Adam. And no one will be shut out of the kingdom of God because of the fallen sinful nature of man. We will be shut out of the kingdom because of the choices we make to sin against God. We all have the privilege to choose Christ and live a life without sin.

5. Where as the SDA Church believes that "we cannot live without sin since we are conditioned to sin from birth due to our fallen sinful nature inherited."

WE believe that we can live a life without sin by divine power from TODAY.

WE believe that Christ can cleanse us from all PASTsins anytime, if we geneuinely repent and ask for His mercy.

WE believe that Christ's grace not only forgives our PAST, but can also EMPOWER us to live righteous from TODAY.

We don't believe that God's grace has already forgiven our PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE sins.

WE believe that "we are NOT conditioned to sin" because God made us with the power of choice. WE are not made to sin, we are made to overcome ALL TEMPTATIONS and live a CHRISTLIKE LIFE. WE can overcome ALL TEMPTATIONS if we chose God's power despite our fallen sinful nature inherited."

Though we believe that we can live a life without sin by God's grace, however, WE don't believe that we "should claim sinlessness," for that would be a claim of self-righteousness.

WE believe that God alone has the prerogative to declare a person sinless, godly, blameless, perfect, without sin, undefiled. None of us has the right to say, "I am sinless," or "I am godly," or "I am perfect," or "I am righteous," or "I am without sin," or "I am saved."

Just because we are teaching and preaching that everyone can live a life without sin by God's grace; that must never be interpreted by anyone to say that we are claiming sinlessness ourselves. We understand that many will misinterpret us by accusing us to say that we are saying, "We are sinless."

{WE regret that many don't understand the difference between "one preaching and teaching the possibility of living without sin" and "one self claiming to be without sin."]

C. THE TEACHING OF JESUS CHRIST'S HUMAN NATURE

1. Whereas the SDA Church beieves that anyone born with a fallen sinful nature is born a sinner; therefore, Jesus Christ was born with a sinless nature. He would be a sinner if He was born with a fallen sinful nature.

WE believe that Jesus Christ was born with a fallen sinful nature like us. He was not a sinner at birth though He was born with a fallen sinful nature. WE believe that any baby born with a fallen sinful nature is not a sinner automatically because the fallen sinful nature in itself is not sin.

2. Whereas the SDA Church believes that Jesus Christ came with a sinless nature and He lived a life without sin.He is our example in His sinless life. But because He is different from us, we cannot live a life without sin. We will continue to sin due to our fallen sinful nature inherited from Adam.

WE believe that Jesus Christ came with a fallen sinful nature and He lived a sinless life by dependency upon His heavenly Father for power to overcome temptations. Thus, He is justified to say that He is our perfect example in how to live without sin because He was one like us in His human nature. Therefore, there is no excuse for us to keep saying that we cannot live without sin nor a Christ-like life, since we all have the power of choice to choose Christ who can help us live sinless.

What are the evil cosequences of believing that Jesus Christ came with a sinless nature?
1. Jesus was different from us in his human nature.
2. Jesus Christ had a privelege over man in overcoming temptations.
3. We are born sinners, but not Jesus Christ.
4. We are sinful because we are born sinful.
5. We sin because we are born sinners.
6. We cannot live a life without sin because we are conditioned to sin from birth
7. We cannot obey the law of God perfectly since we are born to sin and will continue to sin.
8. The devil is justified in his claim that none can keep the law of God since Adam's fall.
9. Sin becomes transfereable from Adam.
10. Sin becomes inheritable from Adam.
11. Sin becomes immortalized.
12. Sin is without a choice.
13. It contradcits the Scriptures - 1 John 3:4 says, "Sin is the transgression of the law."
14. God is now responsible for sin. He is blamed for creating sin.

Christ Met Man as Man.--
Ellen G. White says, "He came as a helpless babe, bearing the humanity we bear. "As the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same. He could not come in the form of an angel; for unless He met man as man, and testified by His connection with Godthat divine power was not given to Him in a different way to what it will be given to us, He could not be a perfect example for us.” (Manuscript,  21, 1895). {7SDABC p. 925.1}

Ellen G. White says, “While He was a child, He thought and spoke as a child; but no trace of sin marred the image of God within Him. Yet He was not exempt from temptation. … He was subject to all the conflicts which we have to meet, that He might be an example to us in childhood, youth, and manhood.” Desire of Ages, p.71

Ellen G. White says, "He came in humility, in order that the humblest being upon the face of the earth could have no excuse because of his poverty, or ignorance, and say, Because of these things, I cannot obey the law of Jehovah.

Christ clothed His divinity with humanity, that humanity might touch humanity; that He might live with humanity and bear all the trials and afflictions of man. He was tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin. In His humanity He understood all the temptations that will come to man.(Manuscript,  21, 1895). {7SDABC p. 925.1}

Conclusion

WE wished that we did not have to leave the SDA Church after many years with the Church. But since the Church is teaching error, we cannot stay and support to promote and increase the false teachings that will affect the salvation of anyone who believes the same.

We still have relatives and friends within the SDA Church. But our relationship with God comes first. We hope that many of them and you who are visiting our website will see the evil teachings within the SDA Church NOW and act responsibly.

John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

"There was a present truth in the days of Luther,--a truth at that time of special importance; there is a present truth for the church today. ... But truth is no more desired by the majority today than it was by the papists who opposed Luther. ...The great controversy between truth and error, between Christ and Satan, is to increase in intensity to the close of this world's history." The Great Controversy, p.143-144.

May God bless you further in your search for truth -
