May 21, 2011 Prediction
Did the World End on May 21, 2011?
Today is Sunday, May 22, 2011 in California; it is about 4:30pm, and the world has not destroyed by an earthquake neither the rapture happened as predicted by the family radio host in Oakland, California.
The Christian family radio host in the last month aggressively advertised through brochures, radio, television shows, and over 500 bill boards through the world that on May 22, 2011 is the judgment day at 6pm: rapture would take place, followed by a great earthquake. Then after that, it will be five months of tribulation, and the world would finally end on October 21, 2011.
Since the prophecy for the rapture on May 21, 2011 failed, we can understand the great disappointment that would have overwhelmed so many who believed. We as believers in Christ, share with them their distress, sufferings, and shame at this time.
We would like to offer them the following hope since Christ did not come as expected:
1. We suggest that they admit their wrong and repent in Christ’s name.
2. We suggest that they be courageous and remain faithful to Jesus Christ and His Word.
3. We suggest that they maintain their walk with Christ and continue to live faithfully.
4. We suggest that they trust God, and He will take them through from here.
For the rest of the world, let us be reminded that we are living at a time when Christ is about to come back and take his righteous home. The failed prediction by the family radio host does not give us an excuse to do away the truth of the Scriptures regarding Jesus Christ’s predicted second coming - John 14:1-3; Revelation 1:7; Acts 1:9.
We encourage everyone to seek Christ and His righteousness first, and make Him your personal Savior while we wait for His very soon return.
